After years of creative inactivity, weighed down by the failure of several film projects that fell apart just short of completion, a director (Cosimo Messeri) decides to reckon with his recent past. So he tracks down and interviews the women he met through dating apps during that suspended period of his life. Joined by two friends, he turns this experiment into a film that shifts between documentary and personal confession. Through meetings, memories, and often painful reckonings, the portrait emerges of a man grappling with his own defeats, missed opportunities, and the need to find meaning again. In trying to understand what he has lost and what he can still salvage, he discovers something he hadn't anticipated: the possibility of starting over. Cinema unexpectedly becomes, once again, a way of inhabiting the world and rediscovering a deep love for life.
